We rent and sell portable storage containers in 8', 10', 20' and 40' for storage at your home or at one of their secure locations. BigSteelBoxes are actually shipping containers so they are weather and rodent-proof, and come equipped with a steel Lock Box to protect your padlock from bolt cutters.

Our service is extremely convenient because we bring the storage to you, so you only have to load and unload your items once. From our storage facility in Edmonton, AB, we're able to provide portable storage unit rentals and sales to residential and business customers in Edmonton and surrounding area, including Sherwood Park and industrial sites across northern Alberta. Whether you need secure storage at home or on the job site, BigSteelBox can help. Plus, you get AIR MILES® Reward Miles™ for the purchase or monthly rental payments of a moving and storage container.

Used Big Steel Box to move recently and I am quite happy with the results. It was easy to order and delivery/pick-ups were on time! The box was clean and easy to pack. I did have some early billing, but corrected with a short phone call. Only one down side is when I requested a quote online, I did not hear back and I had to call for a quote, they may work those bugs out.

I recently had to do a cross country move from Ontario to Alberta, and choosing BigSteelBox was the best decision!! My belongings were picked up at the end of March, but I couldn't have them delivered until May. The customer service from start to finish was terrific! Information was clear and accurate...no hidden fees or issues. One month of free storage on this end was a helpful bonus! They were on time with deliveries and pick ups. Everyone I interacted with with personable. They kept me updated on the safe arrival of the pod first in Ottawa, then in Edmonton. The wonderful service throughout really helped keep my mind at ease during an already hugely stressful transition. I would highly recommend!!

I was looking for company to move our 3br house from Ontario to Alberta. I called few companies and ended up choosing Big Steel Box because they have a weight allowance up to 10 000 lbs and you are loading the box yourself. It was two main reasons I chose this company. I had to move my gym equipment, which is quite heavy and also wanted to have control over the loading. I actually ended up loading all my equipment and furniture in one container and did not get any surprise charges for extra weight. The whole experience dealing with drivers and customers service representatives was always pleasant and very professional. Definitely helped our family to make this big transition stress free! I also would like to mention the communication! Got email when our box left Ontario and when arrived to Alberta. That was actually really helpful in terms of planning our own trip. We had the container delivered 2 days after our own arrival. Thank you for your great service! Our family would definitely recommend you without any hesitation.
